PH Alistair James
Alistair James was born in Maryland, U.S.A. He grew up hunting from a young age in his home state, and was introduced to African hunting at the age of thirteen by the Joubert family on their game ranch outside of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. He returned during his summers to hunt with the family until he finished school in 2001 when he decided to move to Tanzania to start hunting full time. He completed his apprenticeship with Tanzania Big Game Safaris studying under senior PHs Raoul Ramoni, Franz Coupe, and Johnny Yakas. Alistair has worked in Tanzania and last year spent time in Democratic Republic of Congo with R.D. Congo Safaris scouting and trying to reopen safari hunting in that country. This year Alistair has joined the Tanzania Wildlife Company.
