Quintin Whitehead

Quintin was born in Kuruman, in the Northern Cape South Africa in 1979 and matriculated from Kalahari High School in 1997. He spent his childhood growing up on a cattle farm where he was exposed to hunting at a very young age. Most weekends and school holidays were spent assisting with hunting clients on his uncle’s Kalahari game ranches.

He acquired his South African Professional Hunter license in 2000. That same year he moved to Tanzania to start his apprenticeship with Masailand Hunting Company (Zuka Safaris). He qualified as a Professional Hunter in Tanzania in 2001 and since then has successfully guided clients for Zuka Safaris on big game and dangerous game safaris in the Selous and Tunduru blocks of Southern Tanzania and Masailand in the north.

His off-season is divided between participating in anti-poaching in Tanzania, and hunting in South Africa and C.A.R. with Northern Operations Africa. He is a full member of TPHA and IPHA. Quintin joined Tanzania Wildlife Company in 2010.
